Curtains are one of the first things people look at when they enter a room. In your master bedroom, having the wrong curtains can completely throw off the entire atmosphere. Many people do not realize how important the right curtains can be to a room, until they walk into someone’s house and notice that the curtains do not match at all.
To make sure that your curtains complete your room, follow these simple steps and find the perfect curtains.
1. Scan the room and find a vibrant color. Normally the first color one you see is the one that you should match your curtains to. Make sure that this color is not too dominant in your room.
2. Measure the windows and take the dimensions to the department store in which you choose to buys your curtains. The salesperson should be able to assist you with the exact size that you will need to make sure the curtains are an exact fit.
3. Pick a color and texture that you feel would match the color described in step
4. This texture may not be exactly what you expected to buy, however sometimes going outside of the norm is best.
It is important to remember that in most cases curtains can be returned. If you get home and find that the curtains are not exactly what you wanted, return them. There is no shame in returning things so that you get exactly what you want.
